One of Miami’s largest developments is Brickell City Centre in the Brickell area.  The ambitious project consists of a series of condominiums, apartments, and shops and it’s about to finish its first phase of construction.  The project is just one of many contributing to a massive interest in the Brickell area.

While Brickell as a whole has maintained a fervent degree of interest, the area to the east of Interstate 95 and west of Brickell Avenue is seeing an even greater interest.  In fact, it’s become unofficially known as West Brickell.  This area is ripe for development, and there are plans on the horizon to turn Miami’s financial district into one of the most lucrative markets in South Florida.

One of the projects being planned is called Miami River.  The mixed-use development will include a fusion of commercial and office space, hotel rooms and more than 1,600 residential units in the area between Second Avenue and I-95, appropriately right by the river.

Other projects set to emerge in the West Brickell area include the Brickell View Terrace residential tower, the 47-story 1010 Brickell, and the luxury boutique tower Le Parc at Brickell.
